This pit is a point feature, so the circle is centred on the middle of the symbol. Had there been no description in Column G, the control would have been the centre of the feature – Flag A. The description, however, is ‘Pit, SW edge’, which is marked by Flag B, the correct one in this example. Flag C is at ‘Gully, S end’.
