This control introduces the concept of the zero answer, in this case in its simplest form, with just a single flag. Here the flag is either correct (marked A on the control card) or wrong (marked as a zero).
Inspection of the features in the terrain shows that the flag is at the boulder at the centre of the circle and is on the E side, as described.
Solution: Flag A.
Advanced tip
Extra care should be taken with the control description for point features because the centre of the circle is not offset. If it is clear that there is no flag at the described position, the answer is zero. In the above example the flag on the S (or SW or W) side would have given zero.
